Continuous Beam 1.0

Image
Hey Guys, How have you been? Its been while since I last posted. So, Here's my new Excel Tool for the analysis of a Continuous Beam. I hope you find it useful. For this Excel Tool I had to use some VBA codes so you will have to enable macros to proceed. How to enable macros in Excel? Goto File>Options>Trust Center>Trust Center Settings This is what a Trust Center Settings looks like: Select the option that says Enable all macros. This will enable the macros. Now that we've enabled the macros in Excel, lets proceed to the Excel Tool. How to use Excel tool? Its pretty much similar to the previous tools. Here's the Input Panel: How to input data? 1. Length: Just enter the length of the beam in meters. 2. UDL: Enter the Uniformly distributed Load in KN/m from starting point of the UDL to its ending point. 3. UVL: Enter the starting and ending point of the UVL with their values at those points. 4. Point Load: Enter the magnitude

Hello Civil Engineers, I've made a few improvements in Single Span Beam Analysis Tool in the previous post. So, I give you "Single Span Beam 2.0". What's New?? Uniformly Varying Load (UVL) now included. User defined deflection and rotation in supports now included. Input Panel: How to input data? 1. Length: Just enter the length of the beam in meters. 2. UDL: Enter the Uniformly distributed Load in KN/m from starting point of the UDL to its ending point. 3. UVL: Enter the starting and ending point of the UVL with their values at those points. 4. Point Load: Enter the magnitude of point loads in KN and its position. 5. Section Properties: Enter the Elasticity of the Beam Material and its Moment Of Inertia (MOI). 6. Support Condition: Select support condition (Fixed or Pinned). Enter the values for allowed deflection and rotation in mm and radian. Result panel: The graphs for Loading curve, Deflection, Shear Force and Moment will be d

Hello Civil Engineers, I apologize to have you waiting so long for the first post. So, Here's my first Excel utility for analysis of single span beam. It sure has some limitations right now. But Hey, I've been working hard to make it better. This is how the input panel looks like: How to input data? 1. Length: Just enter the length of the beam in meters. 2. UDL: Enter the Uniformly distributed Load in KN/m from starting point of the UDL to its ending point. 3. Point Load: Enter the magnitude of point loads in KN and its position. 4. Section Properties: Enter the Elasticity of the Beam Material and its Moment Of Inertia (MOI). 5. Support Condition: Select support condition (Fixed or Pinned). After you give the inputs, Here's how the output graphs look like: The graphs for Loading curve, Deflection, Shear Force and Moment will be displayed. The Reactions, Max.& Min. Values for Shear, Moment and Deflection are also displayed as Output: It sure
